Jai Raj Ispat Limited, located in the Orvakal Mega Industrial Hub of Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, has marked a significant milestone in the steel industry by successfully completing the Performance Guarantee (PG) test for its state-of-the-art rebar mill. This facility, capable of producing 350,000 metric tons per year of thermomechanically treated (TMT) steel bars, represents a pioneering advancement in rebar manufacturing technology in India. The completion of the PG test, achieved just two months after the mill's production startup, underscores the efficiency and effectiveness of the new system.
The rebar mill employs MIDA QLP (Quality Long Product) technology, a groundbreaking approach that integrates multiple production processes into a compact, continuous layout. This innovative configuration includes a ladle refining furnace, a continuous casting machine, an induction heater, and a high-speed rolling mill, all designed to operate in an endless casting-rolling configuration.
