JSW Steel approves the merger of subsidiary BMM Ispat at an enterprise value of ₹6,400 crore, equivalent to approximately $766 million US dollars. The Karnataka-based BMM Ispat plant sits just fifty kilometres from JSW Steel's giant Vijayanagar facility, enabling major cost savings and faster expansion. The deal adds rebar and billet production to JSW Steel's product range. The company also approves a ₹14,000 crore fundraising plan to fund growth.
