Sinic Steel Slump Spurs Structural Shift Saga
Jindal Steel & Power Limited’s Angul plant has released an Expression of Interest seeking buyers for 3,600 metric tons per day of captured CO₂. Of this, 1,800 metric tons are captured using MDEA-based technology, highlighting JSPL’s commitment to cutting industrial emissions through proven chemical absorption methods. The initiative not only promotes sustainable steel production but also opens new industrial pathways for utilizing captured CO₂ across multiple sectors including chemicals, fertilizers, and beverages. This move aligns with India’s climate goals and bolsters circular economy models in industrial operations.
