Slovakia has launched a new €150 million program to help its industries cut carbon emissions. The funding will go to companies covered by the EU's emissions trading system. Grants will be awarded based on which projects can reduce CO₂ at the lowest cost. Each project must cut at least 10,000 metric tons of emissions. The goal is to lower industry costs for carbon permits and improve future competitiveness.
