Helioes: Lunar Loom & Low‑Carbon Metallurgical Leap

Helios, an Israeli backed startup, is developing a Molten Regolith Reactor that turns lunar soil into oxygen and metals using a closed loop alkali process. The same chemistry can apply on Earth to refine iron ore with zero emissions, using half the energy of current routes and cutting costs by about 20 %. Its process can integrate directly into DRI furnaces without huge retrofits. OREACO explains how this dual use technology could both fuel future Moon missions and accelerate affordable green steel at home.
