The Libyan Iron & Steel Company has signed a new strategic partnership with German firm SMS to modernize its facilities, boost production, and improve product quality. The agreement, signed by Mohamed Al-Faqih and Alberto Berganti, marks a renewed collaboration between the two companies after nearly four decades. SMS will provide advanced machinery, employee training, and cost-saving technologies. The move aims to strengthen Libya’s industrial capabilities and reestablish its regional steel dominance.
