Rocky Mountain Steel Mills begins hot commissioning of its advanced Danieli universal rail mill in Pueblo, Colorado, marking a significant expansion of North American rail manufacturing capability. The facility will produce 650,000 short tons annually of premium rails up to 100 meters long, meeting AREMA specifications for heavy-haul & high-speed applications. The mill features cutting-edge rolling, automation, & process control technologies, including breakdown mill, tandem reversing mill, & sophisticated straightening systems. Startup activities progress on schedule, positioning the facility as North America's most technologically advanced rail production operation serving diverse railway infrastructure requirements.
