The Ministry of Steel has introduced the SARAL SIMS initiative, simplifying the import registration process for small importers. This new system allows importers to declare total intended quantities, facilitating easier access to steel imports. Additionally, the regular SIMS registration has been streamlined, reducing the number of required fields from 56 to 20, enhancing the ease of doing business for importers.
