South Korean firms Hanwha Ocean and POSCO will jointly develop ultra-high strength steel for naval ships. The new "giga-grade" steel could be up to four times stronger than conventional steel. The partnership aims to complete research and development within two to three years. This collaboration targets the global market for advanced naval vessels.
