A partnership of SSAB, LKAB, and Vattenfall received permission to keep testing its unique hydrogen storage facility in Sweden until 2031. The storage sits 30 meters underground in a rock cavern lined with steel. This extension allows the HYBRIT project to continue developing technology essential for making fossil-free steel.
