Swiss company Trasteel plans to acquire Liberty Steel's Magona facility in Italy through a €100 million investment commitment. The deal targets completion within 90 days of signing, expected February 17 during government meetings. The acquisition would boost Trasteel's annual turnover from €1.7 billion to €2.2 billion while preserving the facility's 650,000 metric tons production capacity.
