Marcegaglia & Danieli have signed an agreement to build a major low-carbon steelmaking facility in Fos-sur-Mer, France, under Project Mistral. The plant will produce over 2 million metric tons of liquid steel per year, cutting CO₂ emissions by up to 80% compared to traditional steelmaking. It will cover around 35% of Marcegaglia Group's coil & slab needs. A final investment decision is expected by end of 2026.
