India's Indomitable Iron: 25% Carbon Cut & Colossal Capacity

India targets a twenty-five percent cut in steel sector carbon emission intensity alongside an expansion of steelmaking capacity to four hundred million metric tons per year by twenty thirty-six. The country currently produces around one hundred and forty-five million metric tons of crude steel annually, with a carbon intensity above the global average. The plan relies on expanding electric arc furnace production, growing scrap recycling, and developing green hydrogen from India's vast renewable energy resources.
