Prodigious Production & Persistent Progress Propel ProfitsIn the second quarter of 2025, Hoa Phat Group achieved crude steel production of 2.5 million metric tons, matching its first quarter output and marking a 10% rise compared to the same quarter last year. This increase illustrates the group’s steady operational momentum and ongoing investments in capacity upgrades.

HRC Heights & Historic Highs Herald HopeFor the first time in its history, Hoa Phat’s hot-rolled coil sales surpassed 1.1 million metric tons in a single quarter, reflecting an 18% rise over the first quarter of 2025. This strong performance underscores growing domestic demand and the group’s strategy to strengthen its position in the flat steel market.

Construction & Coatings, Consistent Climb ContinuesSales of construction and high-quality steel reached 1.3 million metric tons in Q2, up 7% quarter-on-quarter. Meanwhile, downstream products derived from hot-rolled coil like coated steel sheets and steel pipes posted notable growth, hitting 110,000 metric tons and 216,000 metric tons respectively, highlighting Hoa Phat’s integrated production model.

Half-Year Heights & Historic Headway HighlightedAcross the first half of 2025, Hoa Phat produced 5.1 million metric tons of crude steel, a 17% rise over the same period in 2024. Total sales of hot-rolled coil, construction steel, high-quality steel, and billet reached 5 million metric tons, up 23% year-on-year, driven by both domestic demand and strategic market share gains.

Market Might & Metric Mastery Maintain MomentumHot-rolled coil contributed 2.2 million metric tons in the first half, a remarkable 42% increase compared to last year, while construction and high-quality steel accounted for 2.5 million metric tons, up 11%. Hoa Phat holds a commanding 38% share of Vietnam’s construction steel market, demonstrating resilience against imports and local competition.

Blast Furnace & Bold Blueprint Boosts BusinessCurrently, Hoa Phat is pushing to complete and commission blast furnace number six by September this year, as part of phase two of the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Integrated Complex. This milestone aligns with the group’s ambition to elevate annual steel capacity to 16 million metric tons.

Capacity Crescendo & Comprehensive Coverage ConfirmedUpon full completion, Hoa Phat’s production portfolio will include 8.5 million metric tons of hot-rolled coil, enough to fully meet domestic demand. This expansion reflects the group’s vision to remain Vietnam’s steel leader while securing supply stability across various product lines.

Key Takeaways:

  • Hoa Phat’s Q2 sales hit 2.6 million metric tons, up 18% year-on-year.

  • Hot-rolled coil sales surpassed 1.1 million metric tons, rising 18% over Q1.

  • Hoa Phat targets 16 million metric tons annual capacity by completing blast furnace number six.
