A Steel Promise Takes Root in Broussard
A momentous chapter in Broussard’s industrial landscape began as shovels hit the dirt during the official groundbreaking ceremony for a new $3 million steel manufacturing facility. The U.S. Frame Factory, a fast-growing structural steel company, is spearheading the project that promises not only economic revival but also a shift in regional construction practices. The 40,000-square-foot facility is designed to supply steel framing components for a range of commercial buildings, including hotels, gas stations, and retail outlets.
Community leaders, business owners, and officials from St. Martin Parish assembled at the construction site to celebrate the occasion. The atmosphere was filled with optimism as residents welcomed the promise of local job creation and increased access to steel alternatives in construction.
Creating Meaningful Employment in Acadiana
Mateo Atwi, CEO of U.S. Frame Factory and the visionary behind the plant, emphasized the human impact of the project. “It’s hard to describe the feeling of being able to grow the business at this point and create a better working environment for our employees in St. Martin Parish,” Atwi stated. The plant is projected to generate 40 new jobs in the area, bringing both economic stimulus and long-term employment opportunities to local residents.
Atwi added that the business model is rooted in community engagement and workforce empowerment. “It’s very important for us to create meaningful jobs, work that people enjoy and that helps them live better lives,” he said.
