China’s National Development & Reform Commission has raised renewable targets for steel, cement, & polysilicon industries to 25%–70% by 2026. Provinces must also boost green power consumption, while national installed capacity now surpasses 2.09 billion kW. Expanding the emissions trading system to another 1,500 firms covers over 60% of national emissions. These measures align industrial growth with China’s climate goals & reinforce leadership in global clean energy supply chains.
