ArcelorMittal's Audacious Advancement: Solar's Silesian Saga

ArcelorMittal Poland announced construction of its first solar power plant at the Świętochłowice division, launching a 1 MW photovoltaic farm in September 2026. The project represents the final stage of a PLN 50 million investment package including thermal regenerative afterburner technology reducing CO₂ emissions by 50%. Branch director Marek Adamczyk emphasized the milestone combines traditional steelmaking alongside modern renewable energy solutions. The facility specializes in galvanized sheet production for roofing materials.
