ArcelorMittal's Ambitious Atmospheric Amelioration Advances
ArcelorMittal's Differdange dedusting project enters its second phase, targeting 80% emission reduction by 2026. The €17.6 million initiative repurposes equipment from the defunct Hayange facility, demonstrating circular economy principles. Phase one successfully installed a central vacuum system by summer 2025. Current work connects primary emission sources through custom XXL hoods & ducts. The project addresses community concerns while improving air quality for employees & residents.
