Steel Authority of India Limited has commissioned Primetals Technologies to supply a fourth hot-blast stove for blast furnace No. 5 at Rourkela Steel Plant. The internal-combustion-chamber-type stove will enable sequential repairs of existing units while maintaining production levels. The turnkey project includes enhanced dome design, unique burner technology & upgraded automation systems, with commissioning planned for mid-2026.
