SAIL Bhilai ordered Danieli’s Exstream II accelerated cooling system to modernise its plate mill. This system refines steel microstructure, improving product strength & flexibility. By eliminating reheating, it cuts energy use & CO₂ emissions. SAIL’s strategy aims to meet demand for higher-grade steels in domestic & international markets, marking a step toward sustainable & competitive Indian steelmaking.
