Kazakhstan's Qarmet has started building a new coating complex worth 84 billion tenge. The project will use technology from Belgian firm John Cockerill. It will significantly increase the company's production of galvanized and polymer-coated steel. The goal is to make Kazakhstan fully self-sufficient in these high-value products by 2027.
