Primetals Technologies will modernize Toyo Kohan's pickling line at its Kudamatsu plant in Japan, introducing automated coil handling, polypropylene tanks & an advanced laser welding machine. The project represents Japan's first implementation of Primetals' cutting-edge laser beam welding technology, featuring spatter-free welding & the capability to process steel sheets up to 9.0 millimeters thick. Scheduled for completion in 2028, the modernization will enhance efficiency, simplify maintenance & expand Toyo Kohan's product capabilities across its diverse portfolio serving can manufacturing, electronics & appliance industries.
