JSW Vijayanagar Metallics commissioned the world's first 350-metric-ton Ruhrstahl Heraeus unit combining Ladle Rocker & Fast Vessel Exchange technologies from SMS group at its Toranagallu facility in India. The pioneering secondary metallurgy installation enables three million metric tons annual production capacity for high-quality vacuum-treated steels serving automotive, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, & energy sectors. The unique configuration delivers enhanced production flexibility, improved safety protocols, extended equipment lifetimes, & reduced maintenance requirements compared to conventional designs. This represents the third collaboration between JSW Steel & SMS group on advanced RH technology, demonstrating successful technology partnership & strategic positioning in premium steel market segments.
