Jindal's Juggernaut: Structural Steel Surge & Supremacy

Jindal Steel & Power announced plans to double structural steel production capacity at its Raigarh integrated plant in Chhattisgarh from 0.6 million to 1.2 million metric tons annually. The expansion targets India's surging infrastructure demand, particularly government projects requiring beams, channels & specialized sections for bridges, buildings & industrial facilities. The investment, estimated at $150-200 million, positions JSL to capture market share during India's infrastructure spending peak through 2030, while addressing import substitution as India currently sources 1.5-2.0 million metric tons structural steel internationally.
