JFE Steel Corporation & JSW Steel Limited unveiled a massive ¥120 billion investment to expand electrical steel manufacturing capacity across India. The ambitious plan quintuples Nashik facility production from 50,000 to 250,000 metric tons annually while doubling Vijayanagar capacity to 100,000 metric tons yearly. Combined 350,000 metric tons annual capacity positions the joint venture as India's dominant grain-oriented electrical steel supplier. Implementation spans 2027-2030, capitalizing on surging demand from renewable energy expansion, infrastructure development, & data center proliferation. This represents JFE's largest overseas investment under their strategic growth initiative.
