Yamato Steel modernizes its Himeji section mill through SMS group's compact cartridge stand technology, replacing existing universal roughing & edger mill stands. The upgrade features advanced automation, hydraulic roll adjustment, & tandem rolling mill control systems. Completion is scheduled for summer 2028, enhancing production capabilities for H-beams, I-beams, & U-type sheet piles.
