Primetals Technologies has successfully upgraded the electric arc furnace at Çolakoğlu Metalurji's Dilovasi facility in Türkiye within a tightly scheduled four-week timeframe. The comprehensive revamp introduces an advanced tilting device for improved precision and velocity, integrated with an ABB electromagnetic stirrer system that enhances energy efficiency and metallurgical performance. The project utilized modular prefabrication techniques to minimize on-site installation time and overcome spatial constraints of the brownfield environment. The modernization significantly improves operational reliability, maintainability, and sets new benchmarks for future steel industry retrofits.
