Ukrainian company Interpipe has delivered specially designed railway wheels for ore trains operating across the Arctic Circle. The ULT 25 LL wheels withstand temperatures as low as minus forty degrees Celsius. They now run on the Malmbanan line in Scandinavia, carrying iron ore from Sweden to Norway. The trains weigh over eight thousand metric tons. Interpipe modified an existing wheel design to meet the customer's extreme requirements while maintaining European safety standards.
