Vietnamese industrial enterprise Xuân Thiện Group has partnered alongside Austrian technology leader Primetals Technologies to establish two advanced green steel production lines in Ninh Bình province. The collaboration features three electric arc furnaces, Arvedi ESP technology for endless hot-rolled coils, & a plate Steckel mill for heavy plates. These facilities enable Vietnam to produce high-quality steel for offshore wind turbines, shipbuilding, automotive, & defense applications while minimizing CO₂ emissions through clean energy integration. The project positions Vietnam as a Southeast Asian steel manufacturing hub serving regional & global markets.
