The World Stainless Association elects Bernardo Velázquez of Acerinox as its new chairman at its 30th annual conference in Johannesburg. Vice chairmen from Nippon Steel, Aperam & Posco join a board that also includes representatives from China Baowu Tisco, JFE Steel & North American Stainless. Frank Koch of Swiss Steel Group serves as treasurer. Tim Collins continues as secretary-general of the global stainless steel industry body.
