University of Warwick researchers have created a groundbreaking digital roadmap to accelerate the UK steel sector's transition to net zero emissions. The study, supported by the InterAct programme, identifies twelve critical barriers hindering industrial digital technology adoption across over 1,100 companies. Using sophisticated modeling techniques, the research team developed a seven-layer hierarchical framework providing actionable guidance for policymakers & industry leaders. The methodology's success extends beyond steel manufacturing, as researchers apply similar approaches to ceramics & glass industries.
