Verdant Vanguard: Turkey's Tenacious Transition to Net-Zero
Turkey has launched a national green finance strategy to support its goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2053. The plan, published on 6 July 2026 by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, sets out three strategic pillars, eleven targets, and forty-five actions to be completed by 2029. Turkey needs around sixty-eight billion US dollars in additional investment by 2030 to meet its climate goals. About half of that must come from private investors, making the mobilisation of green capital a central priority of the strategy.
