TSUK: Flames' Ferocious Fury Fells Foundry's Fortitude
A fire broke out at Tata Steel's Port Talbot facility in Wales on 4 June 2026, damaging a cold mill processing line. Emergency services remained on-site until the following morning. All workers were safely evacuated. The hot rolling mill was paused as a precaution but escaped damage. Unite union leader Sharon Graham called the damage substantial & urged swift rebuilding to protect jobs.
