Tata Steel Nederland applies for permits to build covered storage facilities & a windbreak at its IJmuiden steel plant in the Netherlands. The projects target major reductions in dust & noise for nearby communities. The measures form part of a €600 million environmental improvement programme agreed the Dutch government & parent Tata Steel Limited in India. The ore blending yard two enclosure, at nearly four hundred metres long, will be one of Europe's largest structures of its kind.
