Salzgitter AG and Oldendorff Carriers will begin a new shipping partnership in January 2026. The agreement focuses on transporting iron ore using highly fuel-efficient bulk carriers. This initiative aims to cut CO₂e emissions by a minimum of 20%, saving about 19,000 metric tons per year. The reduction is equivalent to removing more than 4,000 cars from the road annually.
