Outokumpu inaugurated a €30 million biocoke plant in Tornio, Finland, on August 14. The facility converts biochar into biocoke, replacing fossil coke in ferrochrome production. It can reduce CO₂ emissions by 82,000 metric tons annually, supporting the company's 42% emissions reduction target by 2030 .
