German wind turbine maker Nordex has signed a letter of intent with Turkish steel producer İçdaş for the R25 Kütahya wind project. It is the last project to be awarded under Turkey's YEKA-5 renewable energy tender. The companies have agreed the main commercial terms & aim to sign final contracts in October 2026. The turbines will use anti-icing technology for Kütahya's cold winters. The deal will also support Nordex's blade factory investments in Turkey. Nordex shares jumped 12% on the same day after the company raised its profit guidance.
