An Italian steel company has reported major progress in cutting its environmental impact. NLMK Verona reduced its carbon emissions by 12% last year. It also slashed its non-renewable energy use and now gets almost a quarter of its power from renewable sources. The company was awarded a gold medal for its sustainability efforts.
