Metinvest and Danieli have finalized their joint venture to construct a new €3 billion steel mill in Piombino, Italy. The project will revive a long-dormant industrial site and is expected to create around 1,100 jobs. The new plant will use advanced technology to produce steel with a significantly lower carbon emissions profile.
