Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute: Dispersible Nanotube Debut & Dry-Process Disruption
Researchers at Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute created the first highly dispersible carbon nanotube powder for solvent free dry battery electrode production. The powder resists aggregation allowing lower additive loadings while maintaining conductivity so energy density rises. The dry route cuts toxic solvent use trimming cost & CO₂ impact. A patent filing & pilot trials aim to expand adoption across lithium ion future lithium sulfur & solid state battery lines.
