Italy’s Minister Adolfo Urso brought together officials from 11 EU countries to discuss boosting the chemical and steel industries through greener technologies. The group focused on simplifying EU regulations, investing in Direct Reduced Iron to cut carbon dioxide emissions and curbing scrap exports to strengthen local supply. Ministers pledged to deepen cooperation, aiming to turn Europe into a leader in sustainable and competitive manufacturing.
