Vietnam's Hoa Phat Group has developed S700MC, a high-strength steel grade used in automotive & heavy equipment manufacturing. The steel meets European standard EN 10149-2 & achieves a minimum yield strength of seven hundred megapascals, enabling lighter, stronger vehicle & machinery structures. The development reduces Vietnam's reliance on imported speciality steel from Japan, South Korea, & Europe. It marks a major step in Hoa Phat's evolution from a commodity steel producer into a supplier of advanced, high-value steel products
