Iberian Illumination: Vernova's Vision for Verdant Voltage

GE Vernova has mapped four ways Spain could reach net-zero electricity by 2050. Spain already gets about 57% of its power from renewables & expects more than 80% by 2030. The company projects wind & solar capacity of 150 to 250 gigawatts by mid-century. Yet it says 15% to 20% of the system must stay firm & dispatchable to keep the lights on when wind & sun fall short. Storage, nuclear, hydrogen & carbon capture can fill that role. Grid upgrades will be essential in every scenario.
