Eurasian Resources Group will build a major hot briquetted iron plant in Kazakhstan with partners Primetals and Midrex. The $1.2 billion facility will produce 2 million metric tons per year and create over 1,000 jobs. It uses natural gas instead of coal, cutting carbon emissions by more than half and is designed to eventually use hydrogen.
