El Niño's Escalating Eminence: Earth's Extreme & Epochal Eruption

The World Meteorological Organization confirms El Niño has developed in the tropical Pacific and is forecast to rapidly strengthen into a strong event by late 2026. Sea-surface temperature anomalies are expected to exceed two degrees Celsius in key Pacific monitoring regions. The event raises the risk of heatwaves, droughts, and extreme rainfall across large parts of the world. The organisation has launched an unprecedented coordination effort to help governments and communities prepare for the impacts.
