EcoVadis is a company that grades other companies on how responsibly they operate, looking at the environment, workers' rights, ethics & how they manage their own suppliers. Each company gets a score out of 100, with about 45 meaning it meets international standards, & top performers earn Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum medals. More than 100,000 companies have been rated, & big buyers use the scores to decide whom to work with. Many major steelmakers hold medals, & Saarstahl, Dillinger & Acerinox have reached Gold, showing that even heavy industry can win recognition for good management.
