Niger State's Nascent & Noble Solar Steel Saga

African Industries Group has secured five hundred hectares of land in Niger State, Nigeria, to build what could become sub-Saharan Africa's largest solar-powered steel plant. The project, developed through subsidiary Abuja Steel Mills Limited, integrates large-scale steel manufacturing with a dedicated solar energy system. Nigeria's federal government has endorsed the multi-billion-naira investment as central to President Tinubu's goal of building a one trillion dollar economy by 2030, while Niger State plans to gazette two hundred thousand additional hectares for industrial development.
