Policy’s Potent Pivot & Acerinox’s Auspicious Ascent

Acerinox forecasts a robust recovery in its European operations. New trade measures and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism are credited with reducing imports to the region significantly. The company’s Spanish plant returned to positive EBITDA in June after recovering from a fire in late 2025. CEO Bernardo Velazquez describes the new measures as a “game-changer” for the industry. The European market remains subdued due to geopolitical uncertainty, but the supply gap is being filled by local producers.
