Welspun Corp has secured a $580 million order to supply coated steel pipe for a natural gas pipeline in the Permian Basin of western Texas. The company announced the deal on 26 October. Its United States subsidiary, Welspun Tubular, will make the pipes in Arkansas, alongside deliveries expected in fiscal 2028-29. The pipeline will carry gas to a data centre complex run by a major technology company. Data centres increasingly rely on natural gas for steady power. Welspun also makes water pipes & pig iron at its Anjar plant in Gujarat, India.
