Vale launched its Serra Sul +20 expansion by commissioning a new conveyor belt at the S11D complex. The $2.8 billion project aims to boost annual iron ore capacity by 20 million metric tons. Vale’s Q2 2026 production reached 84.3 million metric tons, a record for the period. The company maintains its 2026 output guidance of 335–345 million metric tons.
